The ''Children in Need'' coffee morning raised a mega £370 so far - there will probably be a few more pennies to come in - so many thanks to everyone involved! There is a display of photos from this event and similar in the meeting room at the Norwich Deaf Community Centre, so please take a look!

Coming up next year - Free First Aid courses for Deaf People on 27 January 2010 and 22 February 2010 (change from advertised date). Please let all your deaf friends know - this is a great opportunity to learn how to help your friends and family if they need first aid.

*

We are looking for volunteer communicators to support our staff interpreters on both these dates. Please let us know if you are interested.

Over the Christmas period, the Deaf Centre will be closed on 24 December 2009 and re-open on 4 January 2010. The last coffee morning for this year will be on 17 December 2010 when we will hold our End-of-Year party. Do drop into the Deaf Centre anytime  from 10-3 on that day and enjoy a mince pie or two - the bar lounge will be open in the afternoon once the line dancing gets underway!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
